Morning Prayer

Every morning we come together as the whole group to pray over our ministries for the day, for the unity of our team, for the Novas team, and whatever else we feel led to pray about. There are a few people assigned to lead our group prayer time Sunday through Friday and it I lead with Ryan C. and Kaci every Thursday. We also have two or three prayer partners that change every week who we pray with after our group prayer.     This week the Lord has been teaching me a lot about prayer so I thought it was appropriate to share with the team the...

A Fulfilled Purpose

There are many awesome things that we have been able to do here in Swaziland over the past month and a half. Even the smallest acts of God’s love are significant and important, but amidst all of these “good things” I found myself longing to do and give more.                 I am not exactly sure how you would define success when setting out on a mission trip. The mission is to bring God’s love...

A Morning to Remember

Last week we went to Nsoko on Friday for the night. The Novas team there has been facing some heavy spiritual warfare over the past few weeks. Our real life team went with the intention of covering the place where they are staying with prayer through the night. We went out to dinner with the Novas team and had some time to catch up on how they have been doing and how their ministries are going. Apart from not being able to sleep through the night for a few weeks, they have been doing well. After a few hours of...

Into the unknown

Last week Tuesday night we had a special night of worship and prayer. It started at 10 pm and ended around 4 am. We prayed over our homestead and each other and our ministries here in Swaziland. It was a night full of spiritual revival and growth. One of the things that we talked about is our authority on earth that God gives us (Mark 16:15-18). Neil was telling us that he felt that God was calling him to talk about it and it was perfect timing. Over the next few days that is exactly what we were facing. Wednesdays are our ask the Lord days. This...

Truths of the Jumbo

This week I decided to post a more lighthearted blog. Reader’s discretion is advised for those who may be eating now or plan to do so soon. ***                 Jumbo is not a noun that we are familiar with in America but here in Africa it refers to our toilets, (if they qualify as “toilets”.) Truth be told, we are not quite sure what they are. Definitely not a restroom, bathroom, porta-potie, or even rest stop for that matter. Yet, they are the place that we do our “business” and...
