The Journey Finally Begins

Wow. I can’t believe our adventure is finally here! It’s been a blast getting to know everyone and experiencing God in a whole new way at training camp at the AIM Base.This journey began when everyone arrived at the airport and we grabbed and lugged all of our luggage to the Marta train and took that for a few blocks until we got to our stop. We lugged our huge suitcases up to the Safehouse, a homeless shelter in Atlanta, while everyone was staring at us wondering why we were carrying all these bags. A Family in Swaziland…

  This past week a few of us visited the home of a woman with 4 children, one of them was just born two weeks ago. Her name is Zendila and some of the girls from our team had come to them once before and we went back to give her a few clothes for the new baby and some groceries. Zendila was very blessed by our visit and the two other children who are not old enough for school seemed to enjoy the love and attention we gave them.                       What continues to...

Promised Land

About two weeks ago, Dennis (one of the church pastors), spoke on Sunday about getting to the Promised Land. A typical church service lasts around a little over two hours and it is usually 90 degrees with no sort of ventilation.
