Watch out Swaziland here I come!

Man oh man! This is for real! I, Michelle Margaret McDonald am going to Africa. Ever since my first missions trip I knew God was going to do some pretty great things, but I would have never expected to be taking a semester off school to go overseas.   In meeting my team I didn’t know what to expect. It is so evident just from hearing the stories of how God brought us together, that he is about to do HUGE things through us! We are warriors for Christ. As our feet step into Swailand we are shifting things in Jesus name. Satan has no hold on us! We are free!  Adventures...

Introducing Team Swaziland

Tomorrow I am leaving for Swaziland with 10 young women and one phenomenal co-leader… I want to introduce all of them to you since we probably won’t be able to upload many picture in Swaziland due to sub-par internet.   My co-leader Natalie is a first time Real Life leader but not new to the mission field.  Natalie went on the World Race in January 2009 and spent 6 months at G-42, a ministry leadership school in Spain.  I am really excited to have a new co-leader and someone to lean on as we lead these 10 young women.  Please pray for unity, wisdom and...

A Part

I now know why this is called “Real Life”…because I keep thinking “Is this real life?? Am I really leaving for Africa tomorrow?!?” God has done some amazing work these past four days at training camp. He is reminding me that apart from Him, I am nothing. He also keeps whispering in my ear that I’m not alone. I have wonderful support from home. I have an incredible...

Touching the Dirt

Greetings from Gainesville! The lovely ladies of team Swazi and I are packing our bags and are joyfully preparing to fly to Africa tomorrow evening. We have spent the last five days living in a chicken coop for people, worshiping with open hands, hearing sessions on practical missions skills, laughing, crying, and rejoicing for the winding paths that brought each of us here. We already feel at home together, but this family vacation is just beginning. Our first night in Georgia was an unexpected adventure and unbelievable blessing, brought to us in the form of a safe house in the streets of...

what a week!

So we leave tomorrow for Swaziland…yes tomorrow! its so crazy that training camp is already over and the day we have been antisipating is finally one sleep away. I wasnt really sure what to expect at training camp but God has totally given every team a vision and we really believe that on this trip God is bringing freedom. Freedom to the people of Swaziland and for us as individuals on the team. We have been doing a lot of prophecying over each other and speaking life and declaring truth over out lives. I have been soo encouraged through this and am...
