Speaking Swaziland.

Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I am watching over my word to perform it.” -Jeremiah 1:12. One thing someone may notice about our team (team Swaziland!) is that we are quiet, sometimes really quiet. Not all the time and we are becoming a more talkative bunch but since we all met in the Atlanta airport you could tell that it was going to take a little while longer than other teams for us to get to know each other.  It’s ironic almost in that although sometimes conversation is little among us when I pray for our team God gives me verses about...

The beginning :)

Coming to Atlanta, Georgia for training camp I knew close to nothing about what I was getting myself into. From this, what it seems, everlasting training camp experience, I have learned a lot of things that I’ll carry with me throughout my walk of life. I am so thankful for what I have learned and overcome, and cannot express in words how excited I am to be a part of such a perfectly selected group to go out and be able to do amazing things in what is going to be such an amazing place. Luke 18:29

Adopt a Team

We have teams in on Saturday for training camp and all of them launch out of the United States to their prospective country on Wednesday, January 19th. Over the next four months young adults will travel to five different countries to bring Kingdom and we are so excited to see what happens during the four and a half months they are out on the field. At Real Life, we are asking participants to try to blog every week. This can be about the difficulty of living on the field, community, ministry, the adventure, or anything related to their time on the field. Granted, internet time can be hard...

Spirit of Adoption

At our new home, there are kids around constantly. Sunrise to sunset, little hands line the window sills, hoisting up faces to peer in and see if any of their new friends are awake and selfishly not outside playing. These kids range in age from 3 years to mid-20’s, each with bare feet and their own heartbreaking story. From a ministry standpoint, we could not have any better circumstances. We have a captive audience of 30-40 kids on our back porch at all times, hungering for attention, interaction, and, ultimately, the gospel. They fight over holding our hands, sitting next to us,...

In Love With His Kingdom

I have fallen in love with Nsoko. Possibly one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. I wish I could explain to the Swazis how beautiful their country truly is. Of course they all picture America as something that is ten times better than their land, but in all honesty I’m sure after spending maybe a week in NYC they would miss their vast lands and beautiful mountains.   The past two and a half weeks have been a constant go, go, go..and God has opened up more doors than our team could have ever imagined. Whether it’s speaking at a public school, going to share...

Opportunities

The Lord has been so good to us while we have been in Nsoko.  He has blessed us with so many opportunities to share his word and we are so privileged that the Lord has chosen us for his special plans! Here and just a few of the opportunities the Lord has blessed us with.      *We have split up into small groups with a translator and gone on many home visits.  We have met so many amazing people who are so open about their lives, their struggles, and are always open to prayer.  I met a lady named Passion who I began talking to and asked her if...
