MY TEAM! :)

Something that has amazed me from each of the girls on my team??   Aubrey: Her outgoing and honest spirit.  She is so full of life and just the way she talks and smiles at everyone we meet.  People are attracted to her and you can see God shining through her. Kim: Everyone loves you! You are hilarious and bring happiness to everyone who needs it. You make awkward situations not awkward. I love your dancing and just how you continue to be yourself.  I admire the way you experience God, you can still be you but I can see God in everything you do! Karli: Her gift of...

And God Spoke..

A couple of weeks ago I was struggling with really believing if God was real or not and why I was on this trip. So I pray…and pray…and prayed! Then the Lord spoke to me! So I wanted to share it with you 🙂   This is what he said:   “I am real. I am your God and your Father. You are my beloved daughter and I’ve placed you here for a reason. Don’t doubt me. I’ve never left you. I’m always with you. You will do great things because of me. Chains will be broken. Hearts will be minded. Souls will know my presence and love. Your soul will be...

I have to admit, when I first met Nazepho, I didn’t really like her. I talked to Tara about it and Tara said that we should see the her and just as much our ministry as what ever they were going along for. I guess God changed my heart, she is my favorite person here. She taught us ‘shop shop’ which is just fun to say, she YELLS into her phone which makes us laugh so hard. She says ‘YEBO’ very imfaticly when she agrees with you. When our team bought her a wheel barrow they let me give it to her. I loved doing that so much, she smiled so big and kept exclaiming...

Mom, Dad…. I think I’m in Love

I have been seen. I have been chosen. I have been pursued. I have been wooed. I have been courted. I have been claimed. I have been won.           It’s basically impossible not to come to Africa and not fall in love. In love with the people. In love with the animals. In love with the land. In love with the way of life. In love with the weather. In love with everything.       Africa is majestic. Simple. Profound. Astounding. Mighty. Beautiful. Loved. Enchanting. Chanllenging.       ALIVE.     I can’t...

Silence is the Answer

Have you ever prayed repetitively for God to give you an answer, a sign, anything? Have you often found the response to be..well nothing at all? Welcome to the lives of Team Swaziland. Over the past month we have devoted several mornings and afternoons for praying for god to give us a ministry or people or a job to do while we are here in Timbutini. Our answers, well a good amount of nothing. This past saturday we were supposed to have a BBQ and swimming at Mark, our host’s house. They had to cancel and we were all pretty bummed. As we sat in our “kitchen” and talked as a...

Love unconditionally

The greatest way to evangelize is to love, love without an agenda. Be Jesus’ hands and feet, and simply love unconditionally. “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and for everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.” 1 John 4:7
