arrived in South Africa

Hello family and friends of Team Swaziland.  We just received a call from the leaders and the team has made it safely to South Africa.  They are with their host and will be spending the night there before driving into Swaziland tomorrow.  All is well and we look forward to hearing from them in a few days once they get settled in Swaziland.  Thank you for your prayers and support for them.

And that’s the way we became The Swazi Bunch!

It’s day 4 at training camp in Gainesville, Georgia at the AIM headquarters and it’s been awesome. Since I’ve been here all my fear about an all-girl team has been thrown away. The head-leaders within these few days have told us about the concept of “giving feedback” to one another. My first thoughts, “What do they mean as feedback?    So we leave tomorrow for Swaziland…yes tomorrow! its so crazy that training camp is already over and the day we have been antisipating is finally one sleep away. Watch out Swaziland here I come!

Man oh man! This is for real! I, Michelle Margaret McDonald am going to Africa. Ever since my first missions trip I knew God was going to do some pretty great things, but I would have never expected to be taking a semester off school to go overseas.   In meeting my team I didn’t know what to expect. It is so evident just from hearing the stories of how God brought us together, that he is about to do HUGE things through us! We are warriors for Christ. As our feet step into Swailand we are shifting things in Jesus name. Satan has no hold on us! We are free!  Adventures...

Touching the Dirt

Greetings from Gainesville! The lovely ladies of team Swazi and I are packing our bags and are joyfully preparing to fly to Africa tomorrow evening. We have spent the last five days living in a chicken coop for people, worshiping with open hands, hearing sessions on practical missions skills, laughing, crying, and rejoicing for the winding paths that brought each of us here. We already feel at home together, but this family vacation is just beginning. Our first night in Georgia was an unexpected adventure and unbelievable blessing, brought to us in the form of a safe house in the streets of...
