1/12

After a long day at a new carepoint with tired and badly behaved children,I sit being tosed around on our bumpy bus wondering; what difference can this group of 12 gurls really make? A group of 12 women fighting up against hoplessness, sickness, disbelief, and a nieve currupt government.H ow could we really change things? As I began to think more into it I’m sure one if not all of the 12 disciples had these same thoughts.what can I do to fix this mess? How could I make it possible to cloth and feed all these people? Jesus didn’t choose the best of the best he chose the...

Picture It!

We have gotten to do so many things these past few weeks.  Our main focus is to serve Adventures in Missions with the projects they have going on.  So some of these pictures will show you what we have been up to.    Above is some of our team and another AIM team helping check the quality of Timbali purses.  The ladies who volunteer at the carepoints get the opportunity to work with Timbali and sew purses that are then sold for a profit for the ladies.       This is Brie at one of the carepoints we have gotten to visit.  It never hurts...

Dust and Delight

This week, I’ve been encouraged by 1 Samuel 2:8. “He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heep; He seats them with the princes and has them inherit a throne of honor. “For the foundations of the Earth are the Lord’s, upon them He sets the world.” What a sweet promise for the people I spend my days with! The go-go’s, the crying babies, the needy children and the hungry adolescents, each of them will be raised out of these dusty, barren lands and will be seated next to the Creator of the universe and fed unceasingly. The Lord is...

Yesterday we went to Bvenie Carepoint to help with handprints again. As we pulled up you could not help but notice that not many kids were there. We soon found out that this was because they had a very limited supply of food. They made some porridge to feed some of the kids, to which they added the sugar we bought them and the bread we supplies was served as a side item. Once that was out there was nothing until Monday. Some of the children that come to carepoints come because it is their only meal each day. So the fact that we did not even have enough food to feed all of them on Thursday...

GoGo

Yesterday our team went to help out at a care point where usually 100 or more kids come to eat.  While we were there I felt God telling me to go and be with the GoGos for the day.  (GoGos by the way are the grandmas that prepare the food for the children). I went to sit and talk with the GoGos and God really showed me their hearts.  Each one is such a servant.  They have to prepare food for hundreds of kids each day, and when kids come they are constantly hugging and holding the ones that need some love.     GoGo Gclilei (the Gc makes a...
