oops!…I saw your halo

Soni Bonani! (Hello!)   The move to Nsoko went really well. It is just over an hour drive from Manzini. We now live in a team house which I am liking a lot better than where we had been living. We have upgraded to having toilets and showers! Oh the things we take for granted haha.   I am really loving Nsoko and I could tell you some stories that have taken place at our new home but I want to tell you about a man we met on one of our last days in Manzini. We were sitting outside of the Pick N Pay grocery store waiting for the rest of out team to finish up when an older man walked...

Opportunities

The Lord has been so good to us while we have been in Nsoko.  He has blessed us with so many opportunities to share his word and we are so privileged that the Lord has chosen us for his special plans! Here and just a few of the opportunities the Lord has blessed us with.      *We have split up into small groups with a translator and gone on many home visits.  We have met so many amazing people who are so open about their lives, their struggles, and are always open to prayer.  I met a lady named Passion who I began talking to and asked her if...

Top Ten!

Top Ten since the night we became the 12 disciples.   1. We are the “12 disciples”of Swaziland. I am Phillip, I prefer Uncle Phil.   2. The Gogo’s from Care Points in Manzini and Nsoko hand-sew purses, pocket-books, and many different types of bags. So in order to give all the hardworking Timbali Gogo’s a reward for such a successful year AIM set up a weekend retreat for them! It was so fun!! I was on duty with decorations and games. Decorating for the retreat was so great. I was talking with Julie, an employee of AIM here in Swazi and...

Back to Nsoko

Things have definitely been moving forward quite quickly since the last time I wrote.  We moved out to Nsoko two weeks ago, which is where I was two years ago with my World Race team.  It has been so neat to see so many familiar faces.  There were a few children that I really wanted to see and this week I found quite a few of them.    The first one my team and I referred to as Boots.  As you can see in the first picture she always wore motorcycle boots so we chose an easy name to refer to her.  I found her as I was walking up to the school this...

In Love With His Kingdom

I have fallen in love with Nsoko. Possibly one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. I wish I could explain to the Swazis how beautiful their country truly is. Of course they all picture America as something that is ten times better than their land, but in all honesty I’m sure after spending maybe a week in NYC they would miss their vast lands and beautiful mountains.   The past two and a half weeks have been a constant go, go, go..and God has opened up more doors than our team could have ever imagined. Whether it’s speaking at a public school, going to share...
