Last Days in Timbutini

Wow. It’s hard to believe our time in Timbutini has come to an end and we are now starting a new journey in Nsoko. There has been amazing times and hard times but I have enjoyed getting to know the people here and building relationships with them and blessing others by our presence in their lives.   My favorite times in Timbutini have been going to the carepoints and playing with the kids. I also enjoyed visiting Glady’s and her family. Going to town and seeing our friend’s from Wimpy’s and the market, were the best days in Timbutini. I loved getting to know...

Team Swazi

Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever circumstances I have. I have learned to live with almost nothing or with everything. I have ;earned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.Philippians 4:11-14

Those of you who have been to Africa will know, loving animals is not quite so much a blessing here. The people treat their animals as….well…. animals. Which is doable until it gets to the point where it’s literally beating their animals. This is what I encountered the other day. We were traveling back from ministry in Manzini and we saw this man beating his dog. I’ve never seen it to this extent though. I’ve...

Salani Kashle Timbutini.

What is your favourite thing about TImbutini?   As our time here is ending and we are preparing to move to Nsoko next week I thought I would ask everyone what is their favourite thing about TImbutini. SO here it is:  Colleen: That we know people here and people know us. Shannon: Church. The atmosphere and everything about it with the singing and worship. When little kids sit on your lap and play with your jewelry. That nobody has a plan and are so chill about everything. Nikki: Tucker (our dog). Having the little kids sit on your lap. Nozipho, our translators, family....
