Run with Perseverence

These are some verses that Shannon shared with me this week that pretty much describe what the Lord has been asking of the rest of our time in Africa: “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity.” – 1 Timothy 4:12 “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the...

Running over.

1 Corinthians 13:8. Love never ends.   Something God has continually been speaking to me and revealing to me for the past month and a half is the fact that love never ends. A while ago I started studying the Fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5:22 and the first part of the fruit is love so the thought that love never ends comes from dwelling on the fruit. Stop and think about it for a second. Love never ends.   Love never ends.   Ever.   Never.   John 15:12 says, “This is my commandment that you love one another as I have loved...

Can I be the one You use?

I love those moments when God chooses to reveal Himself to us, those moments when God is so evident in our lives. I love when I can look at an experience and say “That was so God.”  We often have worship as a team. Something that we have been learning and living is that worship doesn’t have one set formula. It can look different for everyone. The other night, we sat outside and marveled at the night sky that God created. Then, we started talking about experiences that we’ve had where the only explanation is God. I’m going to share a couple of mine in this blog...

Sizar! :)

I was at the market in Manzini and me and Nikki were doing ministry. The first day we went we met a man named Sizar.  Sizar is awesome! He is 28 years old and is married and has a 1 year old son. He has been working at the market for 10 years.  He just loves his job and it shows! He loves God too. We were just talking and hanging out with him and bought some stuff over the past few weeks we have seen him. Every time we go into town we go visit him and spend the whole time just talking and becoming friends. We took a picture together (actually quite a few) and printed it out for...
