Today represented a day in their shoes. I went to do construction and we were done by 10 am then I was able to create ministry. A lady name Sinphiwe came to fetch water with her 9 month old baby named Phimelele. I saw her pushing a wheelbarrow down the rocky dirt road with two five gallon containers for water with her baby in the wheelbarrow naked. I began talking to Sinphiwe about life, how often she had to fletch water, about her son and her homestead. I found out that she was a single mother and she is 21 years old. I could not beleive the process that she had to go through on a daily bases. As we were talking I began to fill her water containers at the water pump. After they were filled I offered to push the wheelbarrow back to her homestead. It was exhausting to push that much weight back to her homestead on uneven ground. It was about a mile walk. I was able to ask her if she knew God. She said she did and it warmed my heart then I kept telling her who she was in Christ. It was a powerful moment of trusting the Lord. She also gave me a Swati name, Zinkle which means precious. As the day continued I met GoGo Grace. She was so special and beautiful. We began talking and I asked her how I could be praying for her. She told me for the health. I told her I was going to pray over her at that moment and she told me that she was going to pray over me. So as I was praying in english for Gogo Grace she was praying over me in Swati. After we prayed she offered me a meal as friends. The moment was special. We had cornmeal and bean soup with no spoons. I didn’t like it but at that moment it didn’t matter. The fact that I was eatting it made her smile. The whole day was truly a walk in their shoes. I got to have a small look into their lives and share in friendship with my fellow sisters in Christ. It was beautiful!
