I’m just sitting outside right now in the sunshine and on a chair in Africa with chickens literally all around me. I am just really happy. I am content. I am loved. I am a daughter of Christ. I am blessed. I love God. I love music. I love life. I love myself. I can do all things through he who strengthens me. He is God! He is Awesome! He is powerful! He is the creator! He is mine! He is yours! I was just sitting here reading the bible and found a verse I really like, its Psalm 130:7
“O Israel, put your hope in the LORD, for with the LORD is unfailing love and with him is full redemption.�
I decided to write it on my arm. This verse just brings me joy because I know that all of my hope is in him already and through that I have redemption. Also just learning about his unfailing love is all we need. We all know he loves us but do we really know how deep it is? I didn’t until recently when he has just been showing me to love as he does in everything I do! It’s still a struggle…it’s hard to love everyone and everything and have joy in each situation but I’m learning! Africa is teaching me more than I am helping Africa. It’s not a bad thing because I’m still here and doing what God is calling but I can’t wait to see what other plans he has for me when I get home. He is going to change me and change others around me so I can be an example for him and start living my life for him again. I will not compare myself to others nor will I worry about the past and what I have done. God forgives me and he knows my heart. It might be hard sometimes but I will turn to scripture when that happens!
Thank you God for the sunshine. For the peace of mind. For the chickens. For the music. For the silence. For your unfailing love! For your hope and the hope I have in you! For Africa and the time I have here. For my family at home. For Nikki and Molly. For the future and the plan you have! And for the light breeze you just made blow by and the sleeve of my shirt flutter! Today will be a good day because you made it and you made me perfect in your image!
