Hallelujah!
Taste and see that the Lord is good!
We make our plans but the Lord determines our steps, and thank goodness for that!
Although sometimes it might be hard when things don’t happen the way we would like it to or the way we planned, we should find joy and peace in the change. It’s easy to be angry with God or blame Him for when things don’t happen the way we think they should, when really we should be thanking him for taking us from the path we outlined for ourselves.
If you take time to look at it though, our plans are so shallow compared to what God has in store for us. When things don’t go the way we would like it’s important that we look at it with eyes recognizing what God really has for us, that he loves us so deeply that he sees the potential in us and is willing to help us through the hard things in life to get us to where he created us to be.
When our plans fail we should rejoice and be glad that he is placing us back on his path, back towards our full potential. I find comfort when things don’t work out how I thought they should that he loves me enough not to let me settle for something good when there is something great just around the corner.
So, hallelujah! Praise the Lord for plans that don’t work out! Praise the Lord for guiding our steps! Praise him for seeing who we can become and not allowing us to settle with what’s ok rather than what’s amazing! Praise him for the unknown! Praise the one who loves us enough to stretch, challenge, and grow us! Praise the one who never gives us more than we can bear! Praise be to the God of all the nations who cares enough to know me by name! Praise God that he comforts and protects!
