What’s new in Swaziland? Not a whole lot. Besides living in our homestead, going to the bathroom with no door, and taking bucket showers once a week, not much has changed. The weather has been really hot and each day that I take my backpack off, sweat is dripping down my back!
Another week has passed here in Swaziland! From going to South Africa last Friday to do ministry around Timbutini and Manzini, we have been pretty busy. We have now been here in Swaziland for over a month now and it has been interesting and crazy since coming here a month ago! We are still going to the care points and playing with the kids and I absolutely love it! I love kids fighting over us to hold our hands and to get our attention. This week at one of the care points, I let some of the children play with my hair, and by the time they were finished, I had huge knots all over my hair and I thought I would have to cut a huge chunk off of my hair to get rid of the huge knot the kids got in my hair! But a teammate got the huge knot out of my hair! I learned to be flexible and just to be content with what happened with my hair. I just love being with kids. Playing with kids is like playing with Jesus. These kids are Jesus’ heart, and I’m here to bring them love.
God has been really good to me also! God has taught me this week that he has given me a power of love, power and a sound mind. He did not give me a spirit of fear. (1 Timothy 1:7.) I can do anything here and I don’t have to be afraid or scared of anything because God is here and is in control. I’m here for a purpose: to bring Love to other people who really need it.
