To replace what was forgotten

well, guess which leader forgot her blog…? To quote Colleen; “Now I don’t want to say Jenn’s name, but…” Yeah, I did. So insted of a more meaningful blog that would allow you to step just a little closer to what we are seeing and experiencing here I’m just going to discuss the days with you and what we do throughout a regular week here in the great land of Timbutini and surrounding areas.

Monday: Every monday we wake up anywhere between 5 and 7:45 AM, after that we have a lovely breakfast that consists of these choices: Pancakes, Oatmeal, Eggs, Toast, Cereal, or… nope. Thats pretty much it… Don’t be fooled though, it’s usually oatmeal, which is a goodthing I supposes because I’m pretty sure that every oatmeal lover in the world signed up to go to Swaziland this semester. God has a way with working things out. After breakfast two people do the dishes. How do we decide who does them you might be wondering? Ask Nikki and Shannon. After that we have a team member lead a devotion for the group about something they have been learning ot experiencing here. At approximatly 9:45 we pack up and leave for the care point. When we arrive we are not met with a pile of screaming excited kids, but rather a pile of silent gogos, which is ok. What we do with allthe silent gogos is help them. I must say we have all become pretty much experts at cooking over a fire (parents remeber that when your parents come home and complain about not having any food… They can fend for themselves.). Around about 11 is when the kids begin to show up so we srop our cooking classes and play with them insted. At exactly 12 noon is when lunch is served. Now this is where we run into having some problems, you see the silent gogos serve these kids massive amounts. So much so that we are all in awe as we watch them eat because of their ability to consume. Well we of course want to help out so we’ve started serving them insted. Now you  might be wondering what the problem is, so I’ll tell you. These silent gogos become slightly more loud because we always, without fail, get into trouble for giving them to much. how do we give them to much? You’re guess is as good as mine, but apparently it happens. so after they finish eating we teach a Bible lesson and play some more until 2 PM when we make the treck back to Lelo’s homested. Who is Lelo you might be wondering? That ladies and gentlemen is the question of the decade. I of course know because we are the best of frinds but no one else seems to so I like to keep the information to myself. Anyway since day 1 of being here Tara and I have encouraged all of the team to get out in the community and build up some relationships with people. So what do we do with the remainder of the day, exactly that. At 5PM everyone is home and we just chill till 6 when dinner is served. don’t ask me what that consists of because I simply couldnt tell you, there are just WAY to many options and possibilities. After that we consult our handy dandy schedule that was created by the two listed above. Now after that sometimes we do nothing and sometimes we have worship or somesort of time to pray over eachother. after that it is around 7:30 or 8PM so naturally it’s bed time. 🙂

So… I haddn’t planned on one day taking so long and I am running out of time so I suppose you’ll all have to wait for this detailed schedule of ours till next week. After all, whats life without a bit of suspense?
