The Joy of the Lord is My Strength.

“Joy. I feel joy. I feel really happy. You will be filled with joy. I see you dancing and laughing, full of joy! All will see and know you have the joy of Jesus in your heart as you pass them by.”
These words were spoken to me Wednesday night from a couple different people. We all got a chance to practice listening to God’s voice for our brothers and sisters. The Spirit was powerfully moving through us and speaking words of truth and healing.
Most of my life I believed my joy would only grow with older age. As if age was the magical key to me turning into a joyful woman of God having an indescribable glow about me. A glow where you can’t look away because the joy is so incredible and unbreakable, rooted deep in Christ. Witnessing people here at camp from day one I still believed it was only for a select few. Wednesday night, God showed me that is far from the truth. God wants to give us all of his gifts. To the fullest so that we do indeed overflow and flood the nations.
Hearing those words from God spoken through different people who don’t even know me yet was quite eye opening. Instantly my heart recognized this meant freedom and truth. So I can, and I will because Jesus wants me to be joyful, always! Now age is just an excuse for not living in the fullness of God. I am ready to embrace this and be swept away by Him.
