The girl from “White Mountain”

We arrived to the carepoint in Ntabamhloshana about an hour early after and hour and a half walk we decided to sit and wait. Today was our first day at this particular place where they feed children who have no food but it was a Saturday so we didn’t know who would come.  They usually are only open monday-friday.  So I sat down on the dirt and saw three little sisters walking up and all of them have really short hair so you never know if its a boy or a girl.  We sat and talked with them but then decided to play some games.  After about an hour of games- which they kept making fun of me and laughing histarically the little girl, 11 years old, her name was Nomthanthazo (we call her Nazo) took my hand and I followed her to sit down.  She told me I was her friend and I said YES! Then she decided to play with all of my jewelry and inspect EVERY part of me.  She was so adorable.  I

loved her already.  She kept playing with my rings, bracelets, earings, even my shoes, she was just astounded.  She was happy and so was I.  Then she just looked at me and pulled my headband out of my hair and started braiding my hair down my back.  Not only did it look Amazing when she was done but you could tell she just loved having someones hair to play with. I thought this must be really groose, I haven’t  showered in like 5 days and my hair is disgusting, but she looked at me and my hair and just said “beautiful’‘.  Im so happy to have connected with her and talked to her because I feel like God has something wayyy bigger planned for both of us and just to remember the little things in life sometimes are the most important.
