Team Swazi!

Dear Mom,

Since you literally have 100’s and 100’s of questions, I have written this blog for you in hopes that it answers them all:

1)     What do we feed the kids? Rice and beans.

2)     How is the weather? Usually hot and sunny, but some days it is cold and rainy.

3)     Did I bring enough clothes and the right kind? Yes

4)     Did everyone else bring enough clothes and the right kind? Some yes, some no.

5)     Are you using your sleeping bag? Yes

6)     Are the nights cold? Some are, some aren’t.

7)     What do you eat? PB&J, and other carbs.

8)     Am I still taking my malaria medication even though there are no mosquitos? Yes.

9)     How old are the kids at the care points? 1-100

10)Are the girls on my team nice? Yes, very. We get along great!

11)How often do we shower? Shower? Never, wash our hair? Once a week.

12)Who provides food for the care points? A company called Kids Against Hunger provides it.

13)What happens with the care points when we leave? Another team will come later.

14)Who cooks for us? We do!

15) Are there snakes and big bugs? Yes

16)How is transportation? We take a combi.

17)Please define combi: A ghetto African bus that should never pass inspection to drive.

18)How often do we do laundry? Let me answer that with a question: What is Laundry?

19) Am I discovering who I am? Yes, I am learning so much. J

20)What exactly am I learning? It’s too much to explain in a blog, you’ll have to wait till I get home and see for yourself J

I hope that helps clear everything up for you! Lots of love! XOXO
