It seems like a whirlwind but we made it to Swaziland after
long travel, months of preparation, prayers and some anxiety. We are still in that stage where honestly
anything can happen and that’s exciting.
Throughout the past few trips I have led I have learned so
much about the power that I have, specifically about the power I have to speak
life into things. I have the ability to
see things as they are and except them and speak about them as they are. Or I have the authority to see things through
God’s eyes and speak life into things.
Throughout so much of our lives the world has spoken death into us, but
those words didn’t help us to grow. The
people who saw the good in us and spoke greatness into us were the ones who
helped us change and become greater and more Christ like.
Before working with Adventures in Missions I didn’t really
understand what it meant to prophesy or speak life. As I began to learn I realized that my
parents had been prophesying into me my whole life. I have no memory of them telling me I wasn’t
good enough or speaking any kind of death into me. I remember them telling me how much they
loved me, how much God loved me and how I could do anything. I believed them, so much so that when people
told me I couldn’t do something… yikes sometimes it was ugly.
I am so thankful for the people in my life who spoke into me
the potential they saw in me not just what they saw through my actions and
behaviors.
I want to see things as they should be not as they are. I
want to see greatness in my team and the people of Swaziland. I want to see through God’s eyes.
I see women of HOPE on this Swazi team. Women who are capable of everything that
Jesus did. Women of courage, honor,
boldness and truth. Women who aren’t
afraid to preach the Gospel with their lives.
Women who are going to set the captives free.
I declare a season of greatness for Brie, Rachel, Amy,
Natalie, Alison, Eleisha, Emily, Emma, Dauna, Michelle, Meredith and
Patrice! Expect great change in all of
us, God is about to wreck our worlds!
