What is your favourite thing about TImbutini?
As our time here is ending and we are preparing to move to Nsoko next week I thought I would ask everyone what is their favourite thing about TImbutini. SO here it is:
Colleen: That we know people here and people know us.
Shannon: Church. The atmosphere and everything about it with the singing and worship. When little kids sit on your lap and play with your jewelry. That nobody has a plan and are so chill about everything.
Nikki: Tucker (our dog). Having the little kids sit on your lap. Nozipho, our translators, family. They have become like our family and it is great.
Jen: How quiet it is out in the country because it is so different than in the city.
Brie: The kids.
Kaitlin: The mountains that surround us.
Aubrey: The sense of community. The joy everyone has because it seems that the less they have the more joy they have.
Kim: The genuine passion they have for God here.
Natalie: Meeting new people and the kids.
Karli: The kids.
Cassi: The people and the landscape.
Tara: The people and the community.
Kelsey: Samu.
Me: I love Swaziland! My favourite thing here in Timbutini is Gogo Shongwe. Gogo is the lady whose homestead we live on and I absolutely love her. She is so cute and funny and so full of joy and jokes. The other night I asked her if she was going to bed and she walked around pretending to snore veryloudly. It was priceless.
God is so good to us to have allowed us to stay for a while in the rural area. We have made so many friends and have met so many amazing people. Please be praying for our transition.
