“There’s no one, there’s no one like Jesus”is what I sang in Siswati to my new friend Tabani as we sat on a dirt pile in the sun, half way digging a hole, half way falling asleep. Wiping drool from his mouth to keep him clean. Holding him like we’ve know each other forever. Just singing and swaying. No other words, in our own little world. As I was singing, I could feel the peace of God surrounding us, flowing through us. “There’s no one, there’s no one like Jesus.”
I know God is always with me but I never realized how real He was till this last week. I was singing a song about Jesus in Africa! They are praising Him and loving Him here! For some reason it never crossed my mind before on just how big God is. He’s not only my Savior, comfort, and God; He’s Tabani’s Savior, comfort, and God! Tabani, a little Siswati boy who can’t speak knows who Jesus is because I get to love on him and sing to him and tell him about the Lord! It literally blows my mind. I can’t wait to see him again and hopefully have many more moments like that one.
The Lord is using that sweet boy to teach me how to love deeper that I have and to draw closer to Him and His greatness. Thank you Jesus 🙂
