This will be my last blog while I am in Swaziland. It’s crazy how time flies! I have learned and grown so much throughout this journey. I can’t believe it’s almost over. It’s not even possible to put it all into words. I’m sure I don’t even know all that God has done in and through me. In this post, I’d like to share just one of the things I have learned.
I’m reading a book that was left here at the team house. It’s called “This we believe.”
This quote stuck out to me: “Worship is the submission of all of our nature to God. It is the quickening of conscience by His holiness, nourishment of mind by His truth, purifying of imagination by His beauty, opening of the heart to His love, and submission of will to His purpose. All this gathered up in adoration is the greatest of all expression of which we are capable.” -William Temple
I’ve learned that worship is my purpose. I was put on this earth to glorify God. He created me for Him. I’ve learned to live my daily life in worship to the author of my days. I’ve found so much joy just from taking my focus off of myself. I have so much to be grateful for and I will never be able to do or say enough to thank Him. Surely, I can devote my life to worshipping and glorifying my God.
1 Corinthians 10:31
Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
