Leap of Faith

Another week has passed here in Swaziland. God has been so good to me and has been teaching me so much.  He has been teaching me a lot about trust and faith. I have had issues about fear the last few weeks and God has been telling me to let go of all this fear and to leave it all in his hands. God is in control. God brought me here on a leap of faith and I know he has a lot of things in store for me here for my team and me. Faith is not knowing what the future holds but knowing who holds the future. He has it all under control and he is asking me to have faith that he will work it all out. We just all need to keep doing the work we are called to do and God will do the rest. We will never give up!

We are continuing our work here with the care points and hospital ministries and are now starting to do market ministries as well. We also have our own ministries that we are working on including visiting families we have met before and walking around to meet more people.  I have enjoyed all these ministries.

For a while now I have questioned myself: Why am I here? What are we supposed to be doing? Is all of this work paying off? Then I read a devotional one morning that is titled “Don’t Lose Heartâ€.  In Galatians 6:9, it says “Let us not grow weary while doing good. For in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.â€ Paul here is saying to never give up, don’t get tired of the good work we are doing.  Paul here says to think of the end result. Don’t concentrate on how we feel and don’t listen to voices in your head saying your hard work is doing no good. Just focus on our ultimate goal: serving others and being a blessing and servant to this community. Just keep going. This encouraged me because even if we don’t know if we are making a difference here yet, our work is making a difference and we are doing what we are called to do. We are all here for a reason. This team is made perfect.
