Last week Tuesday night we had a special night of worship and prayer. It started at 10 pm and ended around 4
am. We prayed over our homestead and
each other and our ministries here in Swaziland. It was a night full of spiritual revival and growth. One of the things
that we talked about is our authority on earth that God gives us (Mark
16:15-18). Neil was telling us that he
felt that God was calling him to talk about it and it was perfect timing. Over the next few days that is exactly what
we were facing. Wednesdays are our ask
the Lord days. This means that we pray
and try to hear what God wants us to do that day. A few weeks ago a few of us went on a house
visit. We visited the Gogo of a friend
of ours, Musa. Musa’s Gogo has recently
had a stroke so we took a translator and sat with her and prayed with her. Last week Katie Thrasher, Tori, and I decided
to go back to visit with her. She was
having very bad stomach pains and she couldn’t eat or rest. We laid hands on her and prayed for her
again. After sitting with her for a
while she fell asleep so we cleaned her house and did her laundry for her. The next morning Musa took us to the
high school for devotions and after wards he asked if we could go to his gogo’s
house again. She was much worse. She wasn’t speaking, she was just lying
there, moaning in pain. We worshiped
with her and we laid hands on her and prayed for her. The next day when we saw Musa he said that his
gogo was much better, she was talking again and even had enough energy to yell
at her grandchildren. It was so
encouraging to think that God used us to bless her and that our prayers were
answered. This week we visited her again
and she was much better. She was sitting
up and talking and laughing with us. This was such a blessing to see God
Healing people. Last Friday night was
also a test of our authority. We spent
the night in Nsoko with the Novas team that is in Swaziland. They hadn’t been sleeping well because of bad
dreams and other things that have been going on. Many people from my team, including myself,
have felt darkness while being in Nsoko. We spent that night worshiping and praying over the homestead. We took turns staying up so there were at
least two people up at all times. Katie
Tupper, Billy, Ryan Colison, and I had the last shift from 5-6 am. When we were done praying we stood up and
turned around to look at the homestead and there was a huge, beautiful rainbow
directly over it. We took it as a sign
that the storm was over. The Novas team
has been sleeping much better since that night and they have not been having as
many dreams. We used our authority God
has given us to pray and ask God to drive out any evil that was in Nsoko. Matthew 18:19-20 “Again, I tell you that
if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for
you by my Father in heaven. For where
two or three come together in my name, there I am with them.
