“healing is in your hands”

A few weeks ago I wrote about my friend Phileseway. How her
lungs were

deteriorating as a result of her having TB. How she was
supposed to
be able go home in November but now the doctors didn’t have a set date
for her to. She has been at the hope house for over a year, separated
from her children for over a year. How she couldn’t even remember the
last time she saw them because she can’t afford the bus fair for them
to come visit her. How she felt like such a burden and a failure as a
mother. How her children were upset with her because they didn’t
understand why she couldn’t provide for them. She was hopeless. I
wrote about the desperation we felt for God to do something. He had
to! We needed Him and only Him to do something that would change her
circumstances. We prayed bold prayers of healing. We asked you to join
with us in those prayers. “God we need you to be who you say you are!
You say you are healer, we need you to heal! You said you are our
restorer, we need you to restore. We need you to show up in a big
way!”

With tears
in my eyes, I am so happy to report that when we walked into
her little “house” Friday she was a completely different woman. The
healing has begun!!! She said she felt the best she has felt in a long
time! Although she was still receiving injections, her lungs were
feeling good! She was soo joyful! She had hope! Her nails were painted and
she had even gotten her hair done. She was so excited that she asked
if one of us brought a camera so we could take a picture with her. We
celebrated with PB&J sandwiches, something she had never had before!
Amazing… It was simply amazing to see what God has done. Wow… to
God be the glory forever and ever!

Somehow the magnitude of this didn’t hit me till today (3/27). I sat
in one of our local internet cafes and got a chance to listen to
Christy Nockles’ new song “Healing is in your Hands” and I just
cried.
Back in January at Passion 2010 I heard this song for the first time and it was
sooo
powerful, but until you realize how true it is and you get to
experience this healing you can’t even begin to fathom it. Please take
5 minutes and close your eyes and just listen to this song.

Friends, do you get this? Do you see how great God is? Please don’t
doubt what God can do. Don’t ever doubt what He can do! I know I’m
writing about physical healing but there are so many ways that we need
God to heal us. Many of us have garbage from our past that we need to
be healed from but yet we chose to believe the lies. “It’s the past so
we’ll just leave it there. Can’t change it right?” That’s wrong; its
time to be healed from the past hurts. Pray for that healing! Maybe
you’ve done something in your past that makes you think God wouldn’t
want anything to do with you… Don’t believe that lie! There is
nothing that can keep us from His love. Nothing… There is nothing
that you’ve ever done that changes His love for you. The blood that He
shed over 2000 years ago gave us freedom from death and from our sins.
He made those past mistakes not matter. On the cross he said “I don’t
care what you’ve done. I love you!”  Maybe it’s something you are
going

through right now. If you are His, you are covered by His
blood. You are not defeated!

“In all things. We know that. We’re more than conquerors! You keep us
by your love. You keep us by your love…”

Know this! Pray it! Speak these truths into your life! Make it personal!
He loves you! He desires you more than you could ever begin to
realize. The garbage in your past has already been forgiven. It’s time
for healing. Those things can’t keep you from His love! Nothing can
keep you from His love!

“How high, how wide! No matter where I am, healing is in your hands!
How deep, how strong! Now by your grace I stand. Healing is in your
hands!”

Thank you Lord… thank you… thank you for your love. Love that
doesn’t even make sense. Thank you that there is nothing we can do
that could ever keep us from your love. That our past mistakes and
failures are forgiven and you even bring healing into our lives. Thank
you that you hear our prayers and you answer them. God you are
