Yesterday our team went to help out at a care point where usually 100 or more kids come to eat. While we were there I felt God telling me to go and be with the GoGos for the day. (GoGos by the way are the grandmas that prepare the food for the children). I went to sit and talk with the GoGos and God really showed me their hearts. Each one is such a servant. They have to prepare food for hundreds of kids each day, and when kids come they are constantly hugging and holding the ones that need some love.
GoGo Gclilei (the Gc makes a clicking sound) let me help her scoop sour porage for the kids and hand them each bread. Each child was so grateful for the food they received, and it touched my heart to be able to serve them. I truly admire the GoGos for their heart and servant attitude.
God is doing so much here and teaching me through the children, GoGos, my team, and books. I just finished this book “Irresistible Revolution” by Shane Clayborne, and he really challenges you to live out your faith. It hit me while reading that I REALLY need to represent Christ wherever I go. Being what people could say a “good girl” and not breaking the law does not excactly show that I love Jesus. Representing Christ should show by how I live, how I love, how I serve, and how I forgive that shows others Christ’s unconditional love. But, in order to truly be able to pour out God’s love to others I have to be extremely in love with him myself. I have done a lot of thinking about my life and that if I truly love God, I think my life should look pretty different. So, God has been showing me what truly loving him looks like, and is using the GoGos to show me his heart towards serving.
I am excited to keep seeking God, and let him pour out his love on me!
