Dragon Con. It seems like you’re either obsessed with it or have never even heard of it. It’s a Sci-Fi game that combines every video game and movie possible. You want Indiana Jones? They got it. You want princesses and goblins? They got it. You want teenage ninja mutant turtles or ax murderers? They got that too. I really don;t understand it to be honest, but to each their own I guess. But it was a great oppurtunity to go out and just talk to people. We took our group of 12 girls and 1 guy leader and walked around Atlanta talking to anyone. We encountered many interesting and drunk people. The one person I’ll always remember is a drunk lady we met by watching a man smack her in the face a couple times. She had an interesting story to be sure.
We stayed in SafeHouse that night and then rode in two super-overcrowded buses with 75 pounds of baggage with each person….. talk about overload!! We took these buses to the AIM base where we would spend the next three days of training camp. These next three days have been the most entertaining, fun and challenging days of basically my life. We’re doing things I’ve never even thought I would see myself doing. It has been amazing! I didn’t even want to do a training camp beforehand, truthfully, but I’m SO glad I did. I’m so much more ready to go to another country and be a light to the people and children of Swaziland. Here we come, Swazi!
