Adventure of a lifetime

Wow! Another week in Swaziland has passed and God has been working in all of our lives here. We have finally adjusted to this culture here. From going to  carepoints to the hospital to other ministries we have learned a lot. Being in Swaziland has taught me so much about depending and trusting God in everything. Without him here we would be totally lost and miserable. Seeing the kids faces when we go to the carepoints and play with them, breaks my heart with love and I love being around them. They are always so happy and they hardly have anything. I love it so much when they jump all over us and climb on our laps when we get there. I just laugh when they fight to hold our hands, to get our attention. Earlier this week, i coaxed some really shy girls into coming over to where everyone was. Eventually they climbed into my lap. It was so cute and I loved it. They are so precious to me. Kids really do love it when we come and play with them. So everything is going really well here so far. I’m still trying to get over my homesickness though. With God i can do anything. My days are numbered here so i need to stop thinking of home and take every opportunity to enjoy these moments here. I won’t be in Swaziland forever. This is an ADVENTURE OF A LIFETIME!

As a team, we are bonding and becoming closer to each other each day. We started doing these one on one times once a week where we can get to know each other individually and become more like family during individual time instead of always in a big group. I love doing it. I love getting to know all the girls on my team individually that way. I think it will really help here!

It is so helpful to know that I have a God who will never leave me when i have troubles. I am comforted and loved. This trip will help me to grow and depend on God like nothing before. God is so big, so strong and so mighty. There is nothing he cannot do! I’m so glad we have a God who cares!
