Where He Goes I’ll Go

As I anticipated this trip for the past few months I knew what lay ahead of me was something that would be absolutely life changing.  Being at training camp was such a growing and learning experience for me.  I wasn’t exactly sure what our week would look like and what we would be doing so coming into it I didn’t have many ideas of how it would turn out.  I do know that God showed up.  It was so amazing to see how God hand picked each member of each team.  It was amazing to see how people from all over America, and a few from Canada, come together under one roof and worship our sweet Savior. It was beautiful.  God showed me so much about worship and that each time I come before His throne I need to take it seriously.  He showed me that my worship of Him is personal, and not between anyone else.  That I can’t be distracted by anything around me or change the way I worship.  He showed me that my worship is not a performance because He is looking at my heart’s posture towards Him.  He also taught me a lot about being my strength.  In Psalm 28, David talks about the Lord being Shepherd that will ‘carry us forever.’  That was such a beautiful picture of the Lord’s care for us.  A shepherd carries his sheep when it is tired, wounded or weary.  This is exactly what He does for us.  There are so many times when we feel like we don’t have enough strength, and I am so thankful that we have a Shepherd who will pick us up and carry us, forever.
