The Martha Story

Yesturday I was reminded of a childhood memory from when I was younger.  There was an older women named Martha Barto.  She was a women of God and she had a passion for the children of our Church (Southbrook Christian Church).  She was also known as the gum lady.  I would go up to her and kiss her cheek and she stated “I love you and Jesus loves you”.  At the time I was focused on the piece of gum I received but thinking back I was always reminded of the love Jesus has for me.  Then yesturday I was holding a little girl, my heart broke for her.  I just wanted her to know the Lord along with all the other children at the Carepoints.  Then the little girl kissed my cheek.  Almost instatly I told her that I loved her and Jesus loved her.  It was a special moment of flashback to my childhood.
As I am here is Swaziland my heart just breaks for these children.  I long for them to have a relationship with the Lord.  I want them to grow up and serve the Lord.  I pray for their salvation and pray that they will truly know that the Lord loves them.
