These first few days at training camp have been some of the longest and most interesting days of my life. The first night in Atlanta, Georgia, we arrived at the homeless shelter that we would be staying for the night. Our first assignment was to go out on to the streets of Atlanta and talk to people and ask them their story. So there we were in Atlanta talking to these people on the streets till 1 in the morning. It was quite the experience and nothing that we were expecting to do on our first day.
During the rest of our training camp we were well prepared for our trip with things such as cultural debriefs, and activities that would help prepare us for our individual countries. Sometimes we couldnt beleive the stuff that we were hearing and doing, but it was all very educational. Tomorrow is the day we head out for Swaziland! We are all very excited to learn more about the culture and set foot on the African soil.
