I’ve only been in Swaziland for about a week, but it feels like much longer. We are being hosted by a family in Timbutini, which is about 20 minutes away from Manzini. The thing that I was learning about at camp and have continued to learn here is what it means to be in community. We have to help each other carry buckets of water to the shower, cook food together, clean the homestead together, and even wash each other’s hair.
Yesterday we went to the town of Nosko, which is about a hour drive away. A small group of us went to a young man houses to pray for healing. He doesn’t seem to have much time to live. He is only 21. It’s hard to imagine that just a short few weeks a go a healthy young man playing football with his friends. He was laying on a mat outside his home with some of his family members. We prayed for healing, we prayed for deliverance and life to be sprung forth in his life. There wasn’t any change in the way he was feeling.
