As I was emailing my mom and telling her about something awesome the Lord has been doing in my life, I realized that I should blog about it too! Good idea, yeah?
At the beginning of this trip, I prayed this lyric for my life and journey in Africa:
“Heal my heart and make it clean.
Open up my eyes to the things unseen.
Show me how to LOVE like You have loved me.
Break my heart for what breaks Yours.
Everything I am for Your Kingdom‘s cause.”

Every day, I’m realizing how the Lord is answering this prayer! He’s healing my heart of selfishness and making it into a clean heart that desires to be obedient to His will. He’s showing me things that I would have never realized on my own. He’s opening up my eyes to how He sees me, His people, His kingdom! Love has been prophesied over me so much throughout this trip and every verse that He’s led me to has been about love! God is constantly reminding me how much He loves me and how He wants me to love others in that same way. He’s most definitely breaking my heart for what breaks His! I’ve realized the compassion He’s giving me toward the people I’ve met and the stories I’ve heard. And He’s showing me all of this ultimately because He wants to achieve something great for His Kingdom! I’m not deserving of this calling, but that is what’s beautiful. He’s restoring me, redeeming me, reconciling me. I’m not perfect by any means, but He’s choosing to use me! Now it’s my time to be obedient.
This past month in Manzini has been awesome, but I am so excited to move to Nsoko tomorrow! My thirst for the things of the Spirit is so high right now because I know that the Lord has something AMAZING waiting for us in Nsoko. I’m ready for my mind to be blown!
