What an adventure it’s been so far. I can now say I’m used to using a toilet with no privacy or flush.
It’s normal to take a shower from a bucket.
It’s now normal to come back from a carepoint covered in mud, food, slober, and who knows what else.
It’s normal to chase chickens out of your room or walk beside herds of cows on the road.
It’s normal to walk an hour to get somewhere only to wait another hour.
It’s nomal for my feet to never, EVER be fully clean.
It’s normal only to get your bucket shower once a week.
It’s normal to eat 6 slices of bread each day and eat no meat in weeks.
It’s normal to be excited when we get to eat meat or cheese for the first time in weeks.
It’s normal to be so brokenhearted by what you see of people’s day to day lives or when you hear about what they go through.
It’s also normal to be filled with this inexpressable joy when you see smiles on kids faces.
It’s normal to be beyond content with the fact you live with 13 other girls in a hut with no privacy or alone time ever.
It’s normal to be greeted by every person who passes by you.
It’s normal to get proposed to every day by what it seems like every guy that passes you on the street.
It’s normal that even though you have a broken heart, you’ve never felt more alive in your life.
It’s normal to see a BEAUTIFUL sunset every day and a clear sky full of stars every single night.
It’s EXTRAORDINARY to see how God is working in my life.
It’s EXTRAORDINARY to see how alive and excited the church is about God.
It’s EXTRAORDINARY to see how faithful God is every day.
It’s EXTRAORDINARY to try to grasp the full extent of how much God loves you.
GOD is BEYOND extraordinary.
