Day 2 at training camp God spoke to me! I have never really felt that before and it was amazing, God was talking to me specifically, I was sitting listening to Kyla speak and a verse just popped into my head. It was James 4:10. I had the sudden urge to just open my Bible and read it. It said:
“Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up.”
It just spoke to me because the whole time before this trip I had to give up a lot, and God was just telling me to give it all up to Him and He is in control. To anyone who feels like God never talks to them, my advice would just be to listen because maybe He is talking to you and calling your name but you just can’t hear Him yet. To future students who go on missions trips, take what you have learned from camp and carry it with you. You never know when or where God will use you to encourage others… 🙂
